This year I wanted to wrap my gifts in brown paper tied with string or twine, I love the simplicity of it, but I ended up with something a little different but similar. It’s classic brown paper packages, with a twist. Remember those quilled snowflakes I did awhile ago? (read about that here) Well I …

Last night I was preparing a lesson for my eight year old Sunday School kids. The lesson suggested I make salt dough for the kids to shape their most treasured possession. I remembered the last time I made salt dough with the lesson manual’s recipe, it was all grainy and didn’t feel very nice. Then …

I signed up to help decorate for our church Christmas brunch this year. Sadly I missed out on a meeting and didn’t get the full vision of how they were going to decorate. Then I got assigned to do the centerpieces. So I had to make something that wouldn’t clash with the other decorations, was …

I can’t take any credit for this idea, it’s all my mom’s doing. I wasn’t even living in the same state when she came up with this genius tree stand idea for an artificial tree. For two or three years the stand for our tree was broken. And since my parents are so frugal, our …

I’m an orange soda lover, so imagine how excited I was when I saw this vintage Shasta orange soda can at the thrift store several weeks ago. I almost paid the $20 to get it, but I decided to save my money for jadeite since that is my true love. However, the can was still …

I just gave Crafty Endeavor a new look! There’s still some tweaking to do, but so far I’m really liking it. I never did like the beige and blue I had before, that was something I quickly whipped up so my blog looked at least somewhat presentable. Are you surprised I picked yellow and gray?

I was originally planing to do this project for my winter wreath , but quilling was new to me and spray panting already made wooden snowflakes seemed much easier. However, since I had already bought quilling supplies, I decided I would still try my hand at making quilled snowflakes. I just kind of winged it …

Check out the art I made for my bathroom! I’ve had this project in my mind forEVER. I’ve especially wanted to do something with the quote “all is well” which comes from one of my favorite hymns “Come, Come ye saints“. So today I finally did it! I started out by finding an old frame …

My little brother, John, wont be spending Christmas with us this year (or next). He’s living in Russia, serving a 2 year mission for the LDS church. (He’s the handsome young chap with the blonde hair) Since he’ll be all alone with only a few new friends to spend Christmas with, we thought we’d send …
