This year I wanted to wrap my gifts in brown paper tied with string or twine, I love the simplicity of it, but I ended up with something a little different but similar.
It’s classic brown paper packages, with a twist.
Remember those quilled snowflakes I did awhile ago? (read about that here) Well I made a few more, and stuck them on gifts.
I also experimented and made a quilled Christmas tree. It turned out pretty good, but not as cool as the snowflakes. Maybe I should have built it out of more than just circles.
I wrapped the gifts in this fun striped brown paper. The store also had a lattice pattern and snowflake pattern, I decided to go with the stripes since It will work well for other occasions.
I cut their names out of card stock with my Silhouette cutting machine and glued them right on the package with some white school glue.
After they open their gifts they can save the quilled snowflakes and hang them on their tree.
And how cute would these be under a tree already decorated with quilled snowflakes!?

What a beautiful gift wrapping idea. Those snowflakes are gorgeous! I love the time and effort that went into them, and that you can use them for an ornament after.
