Framed Vinyl Wall Art

Check out the art I made for my bathroom!

I’ve had this project in my mind forEVER.  I’ve especially wanted to do something with the quote “all is well” which comes from one of my favorite hymns “Come, Come ye saints“.

So today I finally did it!  I started out by finding an old frame in my parent’s basement. Then I took some leftover yellow spray paint from my earring holder project and sprayed it on some cardboard in the backyard.  Then I brought it back inside after it dried, and hung it up, which is about when my parents came home. I then notified my mom that I spray painted her old frame. She was cool with it. I knew she would be. We all had a good laugh about me not asking permission first, which means I’m going to not ask permission more often ;-) (just kidding) .  Then I designed my vinyl wording on the Silhouette software, cut it out in vinyl with my Silhouette cutting machine, and transferred it to my wall.

I LOVE it!!!!

BUT I NEEEEED your help, so please comment.  I was thinking about this issue when I was designing my wording, and decided to do it right ways… but when you look in the mirror across from the art, you see this.

I know it’s hard to believe, especially after seeing this horrendous picture of myself, but I spend most of my time looking in the mirror when I’m in the bathroom.  I hardly ever face the wall across it.  So when I’m in the bathroom, I’m mostly going to see a backwards “all is well”.

So should I redo the lettering, and mirror the quote so that when I look in the mirror I can read it?  What do you think?

How about flipping the words so they can be read both ways? You could ‘attach’ the flipped word to the bottom corner of the original word. Not sure that explains it in words but my brain can see it haha! Creating new things is so fun; good for you! I’m working on creating my Christmas cards and it’s taking me forever because there are so many different ideas bouncing around in my head; but it’s so fun to do! good luck!

I think I know what you’re saying, but I’m not sure if I’d have enough room in the frame. I might have to redo the whole thing to do that idea, but it is a good one.

Love this. So simple and pretty at the same time. And I have a soft spot for anything yellow. Have a great day!
